shutdown time too long

I recently find my shutdown times were quite long and stayed at the "saving
setting" screen for over 5-10 minutes. P'se advise what's wrong with this
and how to shorten the shutdown time.

Look in the Event Veiwer Log for possible clues. The UPHClean service
might be of help. See:

It might be trying to copy your entire profile back to a server.

I had this problem on my laptop, which was running a gnutella client
(Bearshare.exe). Once I removed this and it's component parts, the
laptop shutdown as it should. Just a thought.
