Whenever I try to restart win 2000, my computer freezes. I
have to unplug it to get it to shutdown.

If you find a solution please post it, because I am seeing
the same problem on 2 w2k machines. Check the error log
and see if you are getting a ftdisk error 49. Something
about a pagefile dump, but I can't figure it out either.
It goes through a shutdown then stops at the blue screen.

Instead of unplugging it, try holding the power switch depressed for about
3-5 seconds. That usually will power it down, and it's a liot easier than
crawling around the reach the plug.

Also, try the reset button on the computer -- sometimes that will still
work.

Sorry i don't have a soluition for you, but you might try booting into safe
mode once, and then see if the problem still occirs.
