SHUTDOWN PROBLEM!

When i shut my computer down. instead of shutting down
normally, it now displays the 'end task' box and waits
for me to either click the end task box or I wait for it
to shut down after a while. Also i get the 'RPC
unexpectedly terminated' message which closes the whole
PC down after 60 seconds.. any help with these???
