Hello,

I downloaded some software from internet. After installation i founded
that "Shutdown" disappeared from START menu. Even it was also not
visible when i pressed CTRL+ALT+DEL.Now , i am having a problem in
switching off the PC.
I have winows2000 OS installed in my system.
Could anyone pls tell me how can i retrive back "Shutdown" in my
start menu?

Thnx in advance

Hi,

login as an administrator and check your local security policies.

start -> settings -> control panel -> administrative tools -> local security
policy

local policies -> user rights assignment -> shut down the system

and check who has the right to shutdown the system. add your user though it
might make sense to add user groups (users, power users, administrators)

Try to this way....
type run command in "gpedit.msc" when open
select the User configareation ----> Administrator templetes---->startmenu& taskbar----> and SEE THE PICTURE...
