shutdown failure

For some time now my computer fails to shut down when
prompted to do so. Instead of shutting down it
restarts. I can't remember exactly what update or
download started it either but I'm pretty sure it started
with one of the automatic updates I receive. Anybody
know how to solve this problem?

Look at your update history and uninstall the culprit.
