Shutdown Failure - Any ideas?

Hi everyone,

I recently installed a USB 2.0 PCI Card into my machine so
I could use my Lexmark X73 AIO printer, because my On-
board USB port couldn't handle it (USB 1.0).

But since I've installed this USB PCI Card, & I try to
shutdown, it reboots instead, I have to manually TURN OFF
the PC as it restarts again. I've tried using Shortcuts,
changing Power Settings & using Registry fixes, but
nothing works. I only use the USB for my AIO printer.

Does anyone have an idea on how to correct this (apart
from the obvious removal of the USB PCI Card).

P.S: My system specs are :

P3 800Mhz, 256Mb RAM, Win XP Pro, Creative Live 1024
SoundCard, nVidia Geforce DDR 32Mb Graphics Card, Realtek
RTL8139-810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC & FS-MEG-ALI-V1.0
USB 2.0 PCI Card.

Hi Pete,

Disable everything that reads 'Wake up' in the BIOS settings. Also, I have
seen this behavior if you have a CD/DVD in the drive during a shutdown.
