Shutdown and won't restart

My computer keeps shutting down, then won't restart.
When it shuts down it sounds like the fan are still
running but it won't reboot or even shut off without
unplugging it. When it does restart, windows error
states it's an unknown device driver, and it can't help
me further. The only new thing put on my computer was
AOL9.0, not sure what the problem is! Can anyone help?

Hold the power button in for about 5 seconds. That should shut it
down.

When it does restart, windows error

Check your Event Viewer for some clues.
