Shutdown and restart ActiveSync?

Is there a way to shutdown and restart ActiveSync? I somehow lose the
connection to activesync and I either have to unseat and reseat the PDA or
kill (using task manager) and restart activesync. Is there a way to tell
ActiveSync to try to reconnect? Does anyone have any code (VB) that would
kill the activesync process and then restart it?

this is a tool that restarts Activesync - could probably be fired off by VB
