Shut Down

Is there a Freeware Prog. that will disconnect your phone line just prior to
"turn off your computer". I'm always forgetting to disconnect before I shut
down , and this causes a freeze up and the use of the re-start button,
followed by scandisk.
Can anybody help with a sensible suggestion ??

You don't need a program to disconnect before you shut down.
You need to try to fix the underlying problem. Any number of
things could be happening here. It could be a software
problem or a hardware problem.

The software and hardware is OK, It's just FORGETTING to disconnect before
