shut down win xp automatically?

Is there any way to "order" my computer (with Windows XP)
to shut down at a certain time so I can leave it on at
night, go to sleep and wake up finding it switched off as
intended?

Hi,
You can use scheduled task and create a task using the shutdown.exe command.
For more info about the shutdown.exe command, type 'shutdown' at the command
prompt and press enter
