Hi all,

If I have a range of cells, say 4 x 4, can i shrink each cell data to
smaller range of cells, say 3 x 3/2 x 2?

Thanks

I really, really don't understand what you mean.
Please give an example.

One try ..

Suppose the 4 x 4 range is A1:D4

Select A1:D4 and click Copy
Click on a cell outside of the range, say on A7
Hold down the Shift key and click Edit > Paste Picture Link
(This'll paste a picture linked to the range A1:D4)

While holding down Alt key,
re-size the picture to fit exactly
within A7:C9 (a 3 x 3 grid)
or within A7:B8 (a 2 x 2 grid)

There, you've got the shrink you want ..

Amedee Van Gasse: Sorry to get you confused.
Max: Thanks for ur solution.

Is it possible to edit the data after cells "shrinkage"? It look
rather hard to achieve.

Thanks

You can edit the source range in A1:D4

As the "shrinked" 3x3 or 2x2 picture
is linked to the source range,
the edits will be updated in the picture

Max, Thanks!

One last question.
whenever I paste the picture link or modify the source, the workboo
with the pasted link prompts for warning: "The picture is too large an
will be truncated"

Any ideas why it would be that
