OK, so do people shred important documents & papers before throwing them out?
Or do you just put them in the bin/waste recycle bins?

I shred anything with my name, address and any details I think important about me, myself & I ... it didn't stop Tom, Dick or Harry knowing everything they need to know though. :D

I live in a block of flats where ALL mail can be handled by anyone who has access ... people leave, but they don't get their mail forwarded, anyone here could "steal" their identity, quite easily too.

Anyone need a new identity, let me know ... I don't charge much. ;)

Whats the point of shredding everything. if in your own words " I live in a block of flats where ALL mail can be handled by anyone who has access"....

Anyway, all I get is junk mail through the post box..Everything else comes via E-mail from banks, BT, British gas etc..There is no paper trail...

Yep, I shred everything with personal details on it :) As much for the fun as the security ;)

Do links use more space than text in a sig..?

They use up more storage space, but that's negligible - it was the legth of the sig on a screen (as it would take up 1/2 scren on a small monitor). It's fine now though :thumb:

Ok, understand now.....

Shredded a lot of old documents this morning.
And it got me wondering what people do with important documents when finished with them.

Depends on what you mean by people..? If it is a Corp, by law they have to keep everything for 6years, well unless you are Fartbook, in which cae you can keep and re distribute what ever yu want't even til the day the account is terminated...
..:p

We're with you Abarbarian, we burn our's too :thumb: :D

Tear out name, address and other details especially account numbers and shred them. That includes junk mail. All the paper that remains goes into the paper recycling.

Larger files with lots of personal details I usually burn and then put the ash on the garden. More recycling. :)
