"~" shows up on desktop when I open emails....

I have recently started to encounter a folder that pops up
on my desktop after opening closing the program named
~ ..... properties show that it has 190kb, not sure where
its coming from or why its happening...anyone out there
have a clue? virus scans have revealed nothing
 
is there anything you can do to prevent it from continuing
to pop up? Its occured several times in the last few weeks

it's not a virus - it's the WAB's backup file, caused by a recent patch you
installed. ignore it or delete it.
