Dear group,

How do I make a set of screenshots available in my DB?

I would like to take a set of screenshots that show how to use some
merge documents that use info in my DB.

In order to use the merge the computer must be configured to use DDE.
I would like to have a form that shows how to change the options in word.

Sincerely,
Shimon

Not sure if you are asking how to capture the screen - (Alt-print scr) and
then paste it into Paint or some other graphics program,
or you are asking something else. If that is it, capture the screen shot,
edit it, and save as bmp. Then insert an image control on your form and
select that image.

I have found that 'PrintKey 2000 V5.10 is very useful in cutting and pasting
screen shots, or any portion of a screen shot, into instruction manuals
written in Word. Then all you have to do is put a 'Unbound Object Frame'
button on your Access form that opens the Word document and you can read the
instructions and see any screen shots.

One trick with this method is make sure that 'Enabled' property for the
button's label is 'Yes'; the default property for the button label is 'No'.
Also, the button is by fault a double click and it is better to separate it
from the label part of the button.

Hope this helps.

PrtScn on your keyboard captures the entire screen to your clipboard and it
can be pasted into Paint or other programs.

True but the PrintKey program I mentioned will allow you to cut out any part
of your screen, say a dropdown box, and save it as a separate file for
inserting into another document. Google 'PrintKey 2000' and check it out: it
is a free program with many capabilities. I have found this program
infinitley better than capturing the screen and then using Paint.
