showing file path automatically

How do I get all documents tgo automatically show the file path that available for selection on tghe footer. I would like the default to show the path at bottom of all pages on screen and for printing and allow me to deselect when I do not want it to show on a printout.
 
You could set up a template with that footer and then
every you start a document use that template instead of a
blank document.
