Hi Brian,
Open Registry Editor and navigate to:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop
In the right-pane, create a new REG_DWORD named PaintDesktopVersion and set it's value to 1.
To apply this for the current user profile, do the same here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop

Someone posted here recently the registry change needed to display the
Windows version on the Logon screen. Could someone kindly re-post please?
