Show Windows version on Logon screen?

Hi Brian,

Open Registry Editor and navigate to:

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop
In the right-pane, create a new REG_DWORD named PaintDesktopVersion and set it's value to 1.

To apply this for the current user profile, do the same here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
-or-
Using TweakUI

Someone posted here recently the registry change needed to display the
Windows version on the Logon screen. Could someone kindly re-post please?

Thanks!
