When resizing open windows, Windows give you the option
to see only the outline of the new window (as you drag a
border), or you can see the actual windows contents grow
with the new window size as you drag. I am using Win XP
on a new Dell. When I select the "show windows contents
while dragging" option, the feature works fine. However,
the option resets itself upon system reboot. I have
changed this option from both the
Desktop|Properties|Appearance|Effects setting, and the
Control Panel|System|Advanced|Performance Settings
option. Oddly, the setting in Control Panel (System) is
already set to allow the "show windows contents while
dragging", but the Desktop setting is turned off. I'm
curious why this setting will not stick after I modify it
to my personal preference.
