I recently acquired a new laptop with Windows XP Pro. My
previous PC ran Win2K and the visual setting - "show
window contents while dragging" - was always active.
However, on the new laptop this effect is un-set every
time the system is Restarted and I must manually enable
it every time (right-click desktop, click Properties,
click Appearence tab, click Effects and check "show
window contents while dragging").
This is time-consuming and very annoying, especially as
I've been informed this is a "feature" of Dell PCs which
come loaded with Dell Media Experience (DME) which
occasionally has a problem when "show window contents
while dragging" is enabled. Dell fixed this by disabling
the dragging option at Windows startup and whenever DME
is run.
I use window dragging and resizing frequently and DME
very rarely so I'd like to either permanently enable the
dragging option, or have a script which can be run at
startup or upon request to enable the dragging option.
Can anyone help with such a script?
Thanks in advance.
