Show previous slide during custom presentations

I created a custom slide show that uses the same slide
twice in the presentation. The problem is that once I
view the first instance of a slide and then view the next
slide and then backspace several times to view the
previous slides, once I backspace past the first instance
of the repeated slide I see the slide prior to the second
instance of the repeated slide. For example:

If my custom slide show has slides 1,99,3,4,5,99,6,7

Then start the slide show and view slides 1,99 and 3

Next hit backspace twice and you will see slide 99 then 5!

Has anyone seen this problem and is there any other work
around other than creating a duplicate slide and using it
in the slide show.

[TOP ISSUE - Are you having difficulty opening presentations in PowerPoint

Hello,

This is a known bug in Custom Shows. If you are going to be navigating in
anything other than the forward direction (through the sequence of slides
as specified in your Custom Show), PowerPoint will get confused.

You have found the workaround that I would have suggested.
