Is there anyway to tell how long a pp silide show is? I
am trying to have music and the the show end at the same
time.

No.

Even if you know the length of the show's automated run-time on your
computer, it would not hold true on other computers.

KT,

Look at your watch or clock.
Start the slideshow from the beginning
Note the time at the end.

This is a good starting point.
Run the show again....This is a more reliable time

It depends on the resources on the system, and if you plan to transport the
presentation to another system, or to many systems via CD, all bets are off.
PowerPoint doesn't manage to a timeline, so the speed of the processor, the
amount of memory, disk speed, available disk space, and contention from
other running applications, will all have an impact. If the presentation is
never going to run anywhere but on your system, you could just time it by
the wall clock.
