show/hide won't go off..

Hi there,

Somehow the show/hide characters won't go away from my Word documents. I hit the show hide button and it won't make any difference.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2007 and it still does the same thing....

What to do?

The Show/Hide button just toggles between Show All and showing the
particular characters that are checked for display at Office Button | Word
Options | Display: ...formatting marks...
