Show/hide paragraph marks in PowerPoint

Is there a way to display the formatting codes in PowerPoint text boxes and
placeholders, like paragraph marks, tabs, etc., like you can in Word?

Unfortunately, no. It'd be quite convenient at times, wouldn't it?

I know you could show them in previous versions of PP. Does anyone know if
Microsoft will add that functionality back in? Any way to contact MS and
request it?
