show/hide button in a template

Is it possible when you create a template to have the show/hide button on
when the user opens up that template? I would prefer to have it without
having the template have to run a macro to do this. Running a macro would
mean different computer security setting for users and would entirely too
much for them to handle.

A macro is the only way to accomplish that; otherwise the view is
whatever the user has set in their own options.

If the template is stored in the User Templates folder -- and if it
truly is a template and not a document -- there is no need to change
any macro security settings.
