Show enums with a user defined text in property grid?

Hello out there,
for a variable of type 'enum' the property grid displays the symbolic
name of the enum value.
I would like to replace (for the property grid) e.g. true/false with
On/Off or 'RdParam' with 'Read parameter' and things like this.
Can this be done?
I found

but it doesn't work for the property grid.

Any hint or link will be greatly appreciated.
