Show date of 6/30/05 as 6 in table

I have two tables that are related numerically by the month. 1 for Jan., 2
for Feb, 3 for March etc. On one form connected to table 1, I can easily
select the month through a combo box, the data is entered monthly to
determine the office cost for a specific month. On the second form
connected to table 2, data is entered daily with the date entered of 6/30/05
and so on. How can I have the nemerical month also entered in table 2 . 1,
2, etc. When I enter the date of 6/1/05 to 6/30/05, I would also like the
numerical month of 6, entered in each month field of table two..I have
Access 2000. Thanks..Randy
 
I guess I didn't read the question carefully enough the first time. Now that
I do, I am confused. In table 2, do you have a field for just the month?
 
No, I have multiple fields.
