Hi,

This is driving me nuts. I really hate the invisible
windows when dragging so I set my system to show the
contents of windows while dragging them. However, every
single solitary time I reboot, it resets and I have to re-
set it. Does anyone have a fix for this? Also, here is an
odd one...I have an icon in my systray that
just "disappeared" one day and then re-appeared, then
disappeared again and only comes back when it feels like
it. Any idea on this? The icon inparticular is Dell's
Alert program icon. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi Janice,

R-click My Computer. Go to properties. On the Performance tab, Visual
Effects tab you will find a box to check for "Show window contents while
dragging". It's about the 8th item down.

Janice,

Get rid of "The Dell Media Experience"

I've tried it using Performance Options too...oddly it always remained checked there, whether the window's contents show, or don't show, while dragging. But in the checkmark disappears in the Effects window after every reboot and I have to re-check the box there to show the windows while dragging again. Any other ideas?
