Should I support a heavy heatsink?

I put a "freezer 7 pro" on a gigabyte ep35-ds3l. Since the mobo is mounted
vertically, the heat sink puts a strain on the mobo. Should I relieve this
weight somehow? Perhaps by tying a string from the case to the top of the
heat sink?

Freezer 7 Pros ain't that heavy. We have two here, one on a socket 775 board
and one on a socket 939 board. Neither have any extra support and have never
needed any.
