Should I do Privacy Protection for my domain names?

GoDaddy just sent me an offer to protect each of my domain names by adding
privacy protection (it's costs $7.20 per domain). Would anyone let me know if
this is a good idea for my FrontPage designed web sites?

All it does is keep your actual contact information masked at whois.
Totally up to you. I don't know of anyone who does this. Just another way
for registrars to pick up extra income.

Hi Tom, I do know folks that do this frequently. Mostly when trying to
present a website as being owned by someone other than themselves. Many of
these folks are attempting to deceive IMO.

It can be a good idea if your registered address is a residence. If you have
a number of domains though, it's often better (and sometimes cheaper) to get
a P.O. Box to have all the domain info sent to, that way you can protect
yourself and your privacy better and at the same time get the odd written
correspondence that may be needed.

Hope this helps,
