Should I convert Access 02 to 97 for a 97 User?

I have constructed an Access 02 application consisting of
a front-end UI and backend DB. I have a User who is
running Access 97 and I've got to believe there are other
flavors as well.

1. What are the alternatives and the recommendation in
addressing this additional requirement?
2. I tried to convert my front-end application from 02 to
97 and got this error: Could not find installable ISAM.
(Error 3170) Do I need to install Access 97 or make a
registry entry or what?
3. Can the back-end remain in Access 02?

Thank you very much!

Access 2002? or Access 2.0? I'm guessing the former!

1.1 (if you can find the twelve diskettes somewhere in a garage sale),
2.0, 95, 97, 2000, 2002, and 2003).

Tools... Database Utilities... Convert Database... Save as Previous
Version will create a 97 database from 2002. Of course you may well
have made use of features of 2002 which do not exist in 97
(Subdatasheets for instance) - they will not convert.

If you want to run Access 97, yes, you need to install Access 97.
3. Can the back-end remain in Access 02?

No. Access97 cannot read later version databases.
