I have AMD 2200+, Win XP, 512MB PC2700 (333), HD 40GB, 7200rpm.
Should I change my RAM to PC3200 (400)??
More speed ?

Then again, PC3200 memory often has lower timings when ran
at PC2100 speed, so it is possible you'd get a very small
(2-4 %) benefit from that too, but this is only assuming
your other memory wasn't CAS2.
I meant, if your current memory IS CAS2, the lower timings
of the new module wouldn't make a difference in that regard,
but if your old memory ISN'T CAS2, then running it WITH the
new module wouldn't help either, since board still needed to
run at the higher CAS speed of the old memory... in such
cases you could remove the old module but might as well
leave it in if you dont' have another use for it.

No, your CPU has a 133Mz (DDR266) FSB, which with sync'd
memory means only PC2100 is needed, not even PC2700. You
can run PC2700 or PC3200 fine, and when buying more memory
you might as well get some with higher potential.
The performance benefit would be from having MORE memory
after buying (more), not from the higher PC(nnnn) rating.

In my BIOS I can change
CPU speed (now 1800MHz, CPU external freq = 133/33)
Memory Frequency (now 333, but I can set to auto or 400Mhz)
If I change CPU speed to 2250Mhz, the CPU external freq will change to
166/33, but the memory frequency still remain 333 until I change it,
if I want.
Please, write you opinion again about changing memory to PC3200, 400
Mhz. Will I have more speed?
