Hi all,

Just want to know your experience with RAM Sink. Whether it is really
necessary for OCing a 9600Pro. Thanks.

I used ramsinks on a 9700Pro. Wasn´t worth the hassle or the cost. Gave me
about 3Mhz OC on the memory.

What's a RAM sink?
My guess ... a heat sink for the RAM, allowing you to overclock without
overheating?

That´s right. But the RAM:s arn´t that hot on the Radeon cards. I used them
after I v-modded my card, because I was afraid it would overheat. They where
warm, but never hot. When I removed the v-mods before selling the card, I
checked the temperature. Almost the same. Don´t think it´s worth it. At
least not on Samsung RAM.

RAM Sinks used on any kind of card should definetly lower the chips temperture down thus making it
easier to overclock (more or less but properly installed it would certainly not harm). END.
