Shoudn't the most recently application's shortcut placed at the bottom?

As you see, the 'Start Search' field and the 'All Programs' link is
placed at the bottom of the start menu, so that you can access them
with the least mouse movement after clicking on the start button. Then
why does the most recently used application's link get higher at the
program list? And why are the most frequently used 'Internet' and 'E-
mail' at the top of the start menu? As for me, I've increased the
number of recent programs to display up to 16, I have to move the
mouse much farther to access them after clicking on the start button.

So, I think the order should be reverse so that users can access the
most frequently used applications with the least mouse movement. What
do you think?

I agree that it would be more useful, but I don't think it would be very
visually appealing. I've been waiting for someone to mention this because I
was thinking the same.

If the Start Menu/taskbar were at the top of the screen (where I move
them) by default, it might look better.
