Shortcuts viewed as thumbnails do not display correctly

Hello there,

Just a quick question. Recently, any shortcuts that are viewed as
thumbnails, i.e. the Sample Pictures and Sample Music shortcuts in the My
Pictures and My Music folders are not displayed correctley. The shortcut
symbol (the black arrow in the bottom left corner) is surrounded by a white
box which distorts the image of the thumbnail behind.

Is there any way to rectify this cosmetic problem?

Maybe you could crop out a little example and attach it? And also
include a description of what you expect to see?
 
Yes, sorry I should have done that. I now have but there doesn't appear to be
any way to show it to you.
