I am running Windows XP Professional version 5.1 Service Pack 2.
Since installing Microsoft AntiSpyware product I occasionally receive a
Virtual Memory warnng while loading graphics across my local network into
Powerpoint. When I receive this message the next time I boot my icons have
the MS default and no longer work. The .lnk file extension is no longer
recognized. Something in my system registry hoses the .lnk defaults. Last
time I found a document that explined resetting the registry.
I would like info on resetting the registry (lost the article) and to know
if others have experienced this?
