shortcut

I am trying to put a shortcut to a puplic folder on my
outlook shortcut bar, but when i put it there it says
folder not found (it's there cause i can open it
directly). I have tried several different ways (right
click folder /add shortcut, file / new /outlookbar
shortcut, right click on outlookbar/ add shortcut, and
attaching a link sending it to my self and dragging and
dropping it in outlook bar) all of which work for other
people here. Is there a setting i am overlooking? no one
seems to know.

Is the folder in Public Folder Favorites? I didn't think it mattered (unless you worked offline) but i don't currently have an older version of OL to double check it on.
 
no and as i said everyone else here can get the shorcut
to work i cannot for some reason that is why i thought
there maybe a setting
