Is there anyway to navigate from the formula bar? For example, a cell
value displayed in the formula bar contains a reference to a Named
Range. What is the fastest way to navigate to that named range,
besides F5...

Hit the dropdown arrow in the box to the left of the formula bar and click on
the name in question.

Ken, I should mention I'm using Excel 2002. The only arrow to the left
of the formula bar contains a drop down list of functions and doesn't
really seem to relate to the formula (a linked cell reference)
currently displayed in the formula bar.

Am I just missing something?

That list is a list of range names, and if you are looking for a range name
included within a formula, then that name should be in that list, and simply
clicking on it once you have found it in the list will take you to whatever the
actual range it refers to is.

Thanks again for the reply Ken. However, I think I've failed to
articulate what it is I was trying to do. I do understand named ranges
and how to navigate to those. Let me see if this example better
demonstrates what I'm trying to accomplish:

Cell B1 contains: vlookup(A1,c:\somefile.xls\somesheet_reference, 1,
false)

What I'd like to know is this: is it possible to navigate to the
vlookup's range parameter while editing/viewing B1 in the formula bar.
Kinda like a "go to" functionality, instead of having to "manually"
navigate myself to that reference.

Hope this helps explain myself better...any suggestions?

TIA

Figured it out...

If you highlight the entire reference within the formula bar, then
press F5, the Goto menu will have the reference already filled-in.
Just press enter! Sweet.
