Well I caused this problem, instead of sending the whole folder to my
desktop , I highlighted all the files and did a send to my desktop as a
shortcut, now everytime I open my computer it is full of these shortcuts,
always a screen full whenever I reboot, they are different ones, but since I
have almost 500 files in this folder, it is going to take a while, how or
where do I find this folder or whatever to delete what I have done . Clear
as mud correct

You will have to delete all the individual files. Maybe the best way
is to go My Computer then click on My Documents (left pane) then
Desktop (left pane) then View / List. Then you should see all the
files on your desktop listed. Select the ones you don't want and
delete them.
