I'd like to get a shortcut on all IT Support staff's desktop to AD, in stead
of having them login to the server.

I think I have read this is possible, but can't find exectly how it is done.

Is it an Admin Pack or something and how do you load it?

The above is very unclear "Shortcut ... instead of login to server"?

You can probably get a shortcut on every desktop but that will likely
require (or at least be easiest) if you have then authenticate with the
DCs, and load Group Policy (or at least their logon batch file.)

No. Just build a Group Policy Object (GPO) with a startup script that
creates, or copies the shortcut from a server share, to each machines
"All Users" folder -- using the startup script for the machine is likely
best.

The machines will need to authenticate with the domain for this to work.
