update...

I can get to the database window and open the switchboard in design mode and
add an Event Procedure to a button on there...but I don't know the code to
display the startup options window.

Could anyone please help?

Thanks,

Mark

Hi, Mark.

Press the <SHIFT> key and then open the database. Keep pressing on it until
the database is fully open, and this will bypass the startup options that
you've previously set. Select the Tools -> Startup menu to re-check the
desired check boxes. Your new settings will take effect the next time you
open Access.
