Hi
Does anyone knows the shortcut keys for accessing the tab
meny, e.q I would like to access the meny were I can
change the name on the Tab.

Michael

Michael,

Perhaps there is an even shorter shortcut for this, but
here is the one I'm aware of:

Alt, O, H, R

You are using the menus here.
Alt activates menu shortcuts
O opens the Format menu
H opens the Sheet submenu
R selects the Rename menu item

If you are using a non-english version of Excel, you
will probably need to use other shortcut keys, but it's
still the same technique.

presume you did want the shortcut keys that Ture presented, but those that
don't mind using the mouse to rename the sheet tabs, simply right-click on
the sheet tab name, then select rename.

Or doubleclick the tab and enter the new name.

Hi Leo,
I think I used to double-click to rename a worksheet, but I've
been distracted looking for right-click (context) menus everywhere.
One of the fascinations with right-click menus is that they are poorly
documented in help -- I guess because they are context menus that
change based on where they are invoked from. So you
will not find them listed in one place. Not Excel but most people here
probably use Internet Explorer and I have a page on
Right-click menus in IE.

I love my 5-button mouse the extra buttons are
press wheel which I've changed from the default to "Enter", and
lower left button to "Back" and the lower right button to "Forward"

Thanks for the heads up, I'll try to remember about double-click. .
