I recently had a system meldown. I reinstalled Windows XP SP2 and all
updates. The system runs fine except.

I have a dos program which ran fine before with the same system parameters.

Now however it will not run.

Any ideas to try to get the dos program to run again?

Thanks,
Bullwinkle.

Your shortcut key does not run the program?

Or the program does not run at all, any way that you try to start it?

Right click the .pif file | Program tab | Shortcut key

Shortcut key
[[Provides a space for you to define a keyboard shortcut to start or switch
to this program from Windows 2000. Shortcut keys must include CTRL and/or
ALT and another key (for example, CTRL+Y). You cannot use ESC, ENTER, TAB,
SPACEBAR, PRINT SCREEN, or BACKSPACE.

No other program can use this key combination. If the shortcut key conflicts
with an access key in a Windows-based program, the access key will not
work.]]

I'm not exactly sure. I went to the MS page you referred me to and made a
change in the config.nt. I remed out one of the lines and tried it and it
worked.

We have so many people working in the house that I'm getting confused about
almost anything. I'm still bringing my programs back up. Some I have to
reinstall like MS office. My wife needs the machine for all kinds of things
so my priorities are set not exactly by me. <g>

So thanks again Wesley.

Best regards,
Werner
