I don't know what you mean by "the main page." Are you asking
about the Quick Launch bar, on the taskbar?

If so, right-click on a blank part of the taskbar, click
toolbars, the see whether Quick Launch bar is checked. If not,
click it to check it.

If that doesn't work, you may have to unlock the taskbar first.
Right-click on a blank part of the taskbar, and make sure "Lock
the taskbar" is unchecked.

Not sure what shortcuts you mean... maybe the ones normally shown in
"common tasks pane"?

Folder Options> View> General. Place radio dot next to "Show common tasks
in folders." Click OK.

In any Explorer, My Computer or folder window, check that "Folders" is
marked under View> Explorer Bar.

If still no common tasks are showing, is there a Folder button in your
Standard toolbar? If yes, click it to toggle to the view between "tree" and
"common tasks."

If no icon, right click the Standard toolbar and select Customize. Select
Folders from the list on the left. Click the Add button to move it over to
the Right. Click Close to exit this screen. You should now see the Folders
button in the toolbar. Click it.
