short cut to scanner

In XP I saw my scanner when I opened my computer. My HP scanjet 5590 works
well with Vista - but I need to use the buttons on it. I would like to be
able to have it show in my computer or be able to put a short cut to it on
the desktop.

Can anyone help me?

Description

This driver makes it possible to use the basic functions of the scanner and can be used until the full solution is available. The full feature driver will be available for your HP scanner as soon as possible.

This is the minimum driver required for basic WIA functionality. This driver enables scanning with the Windows Photo Gallery on Windows Vista or the Scanner and Camera Wizard on Windows XP. Scanning can also be done with a variety of 3rd party scanner enabled applications.




So the plan from HP is to release sometime a more feature rich driver to allow you to use the extended functionality of your device.
