Help please

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to remove a link from
the short cut menu, (ie if you right click with the mouse).

I clicked a link whilst studying and it went to a porn
site and now the link appears everytime i right click the
mouse.

Thanks all

If this is in Internet Explorer, go to Start, Run and enter REGEDIT Go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MenuExt

Each subkey under this represents an added Context menu item. Locate the
correct subkey, right click it and select Delete.

Doug forgot to warn you that using regedit and going into
your registery can be VERY dangerous to your PC if you
delete the wrong thing.

Sounds like your homepage has been hijacked. You can use
a program called SpywareGaurd, which works great with
SpyBot & SpywareBlaster. Using all 3 you'll never be
hijacked again. Here's the links:

SpywareGuard v2.2 -

Spybot - Search & Destroy v1.2 -

SpywareBlaster v2.6

....and get Ad-Aware 6 -

See ya, Christopher

Thanks very much for the quick response,

doug - got into the registry and deleted it - although i
felt a bit nervous after Christopher's comments.

christopher - thanks for the links - i will install one of
these in the near future - although i thought my virus
software may have picked it up (i suppose it wasn't a irus
really!)

Anyway thanks again
