Does anyone know how to insert a Shockwave.exe file into
Powerpoint? The file is on a website for download and I
would like to include it in a course I am teaching. I
can get it to play just on it's own, but I cannot get it
to play in Powerpoint like an mpeg or avi file. Any
suggestions would be greatlyy appreciated.
TIA

See Echo's suggestion if you meant a SWF.

For an EXE, try this:

Draw a rectangle
Rightclick the rectangle and choose Action Settings from the popup menu
Choose Run Program as the action
Browse to your EXE

Now PowerPoint will launch the EXE when you click the rectangle during a
slide show.

Depending on the version of PPT and your security settings, you may get a
warning notice at that point. If so and if it's annoying, try Tools,
Macros, Security and set security to medium or, only if necessary, low.
