Hey Guys,
If you will look at my original qquestion, I was simply asking if
anyone knows how to reset the Shift Key so that, when you hold it down,
the mouse pointer can be moved down a list selecting the list of
adjacent items. I have no idea why it stopped doing this. Thanks.

No. The [Control Key] is for selecting multiple items from a list
that ARE
NOT adjacent. The [Shift Key] is for selecting items that ARE
adjacent.
The [Shift Key] is also used to type capital letters a the begining
of
sentences.
