I have a Sharp AL-1641CS laser multifunction. Omnipage 15 is not
recognizing it as a scanner. Any suggestions?

In order to be recognized by other applications, it will have to have a
"TWAIN" driver installed.

Which Scanner interface are you using, the WIA are the TWAIN?

If you have the WIA scanner software, OmniPage will not see the scanner. You
must use the TWAIN software.
You would likely have to uninstall the WIA before you can install the TWAIN
driver.

The TWAIN scanner software can be found on the CD included with the Unit.
Scanner software does not seem to be available for download.

Thanks, guys. I used the TWAIN setting and it's working it now. Except
that for some weird reason, it sets up my Sharp multifunction as an
ADF. There's no option in the Options/Scanner menu for Flatbed. Which
means I can't use that timer setting to flip pages every few seconds.

Run the Scanner Setup Wizard.
You can find the scanner setup wizard in the Windows XP Start menu for
Omnipage 15.

Somewhere around the third page of the wizard.
Question: Would you like to test your device with Omnipage 15.0? Answer Yes.

At about the fifth click on next.
Somewhere in the Omnipage Scanner setup wizard there is a selection for
Check ADF capabilities.
Try Checked, and see what you get.

Any setting you try, can be redone by running the Scanner Setup Wizard
again.
