Sharp Font Shadows in 2007...

For our church, we've used PPT to put songs on the wall instead of using
books. In 2003, I could use the shadow toolbar, choose black, select the
font, and the shadows were great...made the font stand out against the
background pictures we like to use.

However, with 2007, the only font shadows I can find are in the format
tab...but the shadows are soft. Part two is, when I save the file as a 2003
(because we haven't upgraded the church PC to 2007 yet, the shadows disappear.

Is there another shadow tool that will work like 2003 that won't go away
when I save it?

Thanks for any help!!

Maybe just use the text shadow button on the Home tab in the Font group.
That shadow should show up on the text in 2003, also.

Early this morning (Saturday) I discovered I could use that, but the shadows
are not sharp like they were in 2003. I can change them with a slider, but
now I want to set the slider where I want it as a default, so I don't have to
change the setting on each and every slide.

Suggestions?

Thanks!

You could add the shadow and the settings to the placeholder on the slide
master, so when you type in the "click to add text" areas (these are
placeholders), that shadow should show up by default.

If you format an ad hoc "manual" textbox that way, then right-click and Set
Textbox Defaults, it will default your manual textboxes that way.

I think I understand...sort of like creating a template or a style that I can
use as my "jumping off" point when creating new slides.

Thanks for your help.
