Sharing Web site without Publishing

I have a small family web site for sharing recipes
(http://members.tripod.com/jem206/). It is not accessed frequently and then
only by family members. I would rather send them a copy instead of
publishing it and paying the monthly fee. I have tried free sites but the
pop-up ads are 'way too annoying. I have 2 questions regarding this:

1) Is this possible without the users having FP installed? I imagine that
they can do it by opening IE - but then what would they type in as the web
address? The users are all using IE, WinMe and/or XP. I am using FP 2002,
WinMe, IE.

2) Would this file be so big I would need to learn how to ftp it (have no
clue how to do this) or zip it. I would prefer to send just as an attachment
if that's possible - but then would I have to send every file individually?

Thanks for any advice you can give.

The best option would be to publish to a folder on your HD, then remove all
of the _vti folders from this folder using Windows Explorer, then burn a CD
and send each family member a CD.

Do you have hosting with your ISP? Most ISPs offer 5+ mgs of web hosting
with your account usually something like http://roadrunner.com/~username

Even if they don't offer FrontPage extensions (most don't) you can follow
Thomas's instruction then publish using FTP instead of FrontPage. If you
don't have too many pictures and the resulting web is fairly small you could
zip up the entire folder and attach it to an email message. The recipients
would need to have a program to unzip the web then would be able to open the
default.htm (or whatever your home page name is) in the browser of their
choice and navigate from there.

If you decide to go with the cd method search the form and you'll see a
thread on creating an auto run cd.

Putting it online is going to be your easiest way to share your information
and make sure everyone has access to the latest version. If your ISP does
not offer free webspace (which most do), you might consider a cheap (not
free) host. I use http://www.worldwebhosters.com for a few sites and they
have plans as low as $11.88 per year, including FP extensions.

If I understand the information correctly, I would need to upgrade my
operating system from WinMe (which I have been seriously considering anyway)
and then take the usual risks with their beta version. I am a relatively
unsophisticated user and would be interested to know if you think this is a
minimal risk - given that it is Microsoft ;) - the price is very attractive.

Have you tried this? This may work for you. Life is short so go for it.
Time moves on even if we are not aboard so you will do fine - I have faith
in you. I have several sites on www.lycos.com and they are all free so it
surprised me that you were paying. Beta or not here I come - learning is a
challenge. Ram will never be cheaper = add more.
