I usually reduce the size of my pictures by clicking on "Closes this program
and opens the image for editing (Ctrl+E)" in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer
which results in the image being opened in paint. Over here i click
file----->save as... and save it in JPEG format. If it's not already saved in
JPEG format then i save it in JPEG format or otherwise if it is already in
the format, i resave it. This reduces the file size a lot but still not
reducing the image quality. Recently when i've been doing this i've been
getting the error "A sharing violation occurred while accessing C:\Documents
and Settings\(your user name)\(the file location).jpg and then the image gets
deleted of my hard disk. I recently transferred pictures from my friends pc
to my pc and was reducing the sizes of the pictures but out of the 50 images
that i took around 10 of them had this error. The error has also occurred
when i have transferred images from other people's pc's. Anyone have any idea
why this error comes and how can i resolve it and possibly prevent it from
coming up in the future.
